Our visitors from Korea

Every year for 6 years we have had the opportunity to host children from Korea for two weeks at a time. Their English teacher back home is an American who has family here and brings his own family, along with several of his students here to experience America in a homey/traditional way. We didn't do it last year, so this year we agreed to take on two children, a boy for Thomas and a girl for Brinley. They were not happy at all last year when I told them I wanted a break from it.

We usually like to take them downtown to see the beautiful temple and Christus Statue.

This is "Julie". They choose their American names before they come. It makes it so much easier for us! I loved her name ;)
Ted is only 9 1/2 and speaks very fluently. It is very impressive that one so young can totally hold his own like that. Our visitors always like our pets.

This has been such a great thing for our kids. It gives them a cultural awareness that I don't think they can get out of a book. The Korean children are ALWAYS very polite, clean and nice.

I should post some pics of our girl too. The problem is she is never around us long enough for me to take a picture! Wah wahhhh.

I love how they hold up peace signs in all of the pictures, and that they choose American names!
