Easter weekend

I was so happy with the vivid purple I got out of my Paas fizzy tablet dye.  It seems like when I was a kid you would soak that egg for so long and the colors never got this bright.

These are the leftovers from Easter.  The prettiest ones got eaten up in a snap.

This arrangement arrived on our doorstep the day before Easter sent from the Greens for appreciation to us for their stay last month.  Thank you so much for sending a beautiful surprise just in time for us to enjoy Green family!
These girls did not want their picture taken, can you tell?

Ahh, dark chocolate!

Cookie didn't get a proper Easter hair do.  She always smashes and smears her head on the floor and messes up her cute hair styles me and Morgan do for her.  She is so ungrateful!
Madison's eggs.  She wouldn't let anyone hide hers.  So we made and hid our own.  I forgot to take pictures!  Darn, they were so cute.
Me and my sweetheart.  I love my dress that Madison made for me last year on my birthday.

This is Brinley holding her loot after the morning hunt at the park.

Our cute little town has an annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday and they divide it into age groups.  This is part of Thomas' age group.  There were hundreds of eggs on the ground and they were gone in about one minute.
Thomas had a miniature beach ball in one of his eggs.
When my older kids were little I always had a nice new, (handmade if it was the girls) outfit for them on Easter Sunday.  I fizzled out on that a few years back.  I feel so guilty.  Poor Thomas and Brinley.

Tom was kind of hesitant when I brought home this pink tie for him.  I told him he would look so handsome with it and didn't have to wear it until Easter.  He breathed a sigh of relief upon that announcement.  I think I was correct, don't you? Nathaniel has closed in on his dad in height.

That was a lot of fun, the easter egg hunt! there were some really big prizes that couldn't fit inside of the eggs! But they were still pretty small!

Great Easter pictures, Jules. I like your kids' Longaberger Easter baskets. Madison's eggs were very dark and pretty. She takes her egg coloring as seriously as her pumpkin carving.

Brinley, it's nice !!! to see you commenting now!!!! You even comment on blogs excitedly!!!

I was wondering if Nathaniel has passed Tom in height yet. He looks so handsome and tall. Everyone looks so sweet on Easter in their Sunday best. Madison, nice job on the dress you made for your mom, too. I'm impressed.

Julie, your Easter decor looked pretty and festive. I love the arrangement that Diane sent you. Wow. Diane is welcome to come visit me any day!

Tom, I did notice that dashing pink tie and thought you looked very good looking. I think your brother-in-law has one just like it. But he never second guesses my fashion advice, and just wears what ever I tell him to. Smart man. lol

Okay, I'm cracking myself up, but since this is an Easter post, it is fitting. (By the way, your purple egg was super bright and colorful, Julie.)

I hope to see you in Texas, my little pretties!

Love,
Aunt Kelly

Great lookin' Easter eggs! Everyone looks so festive :) Too bad Easter was so early this year- it seems strange now to be in April and not have any Easter decor out!
