One of the best rooms in our house is actually a closet. The room under the front staircase of our house is loaded with Legos. My children have been receiving Legos for birthdays and Christmas for probably ten years now. We have just about every Harry Potter set out there, we have an Indiana Jones set, Star Wars sets galore, a native American set, battleship, helicopter, castle sets. It goes on and on. Every single one of my children have played Legos. Like crazy. They have them all set up in this little closet and will stay down there for hours on end, day after day. Their cousins and neighbors are right there with them. It is so fun and their imaginations have been richly fed with the endless creations they have put together. I love it when they play down there because they are using their brains in a creative way and it's such quiet play! The great thing about the closet is, they don't have to pick it all up when they are done. It just stays there and the door gets shut and I don't have to worry about it. It is a win/win situation for sure!
Thomas and cousin, Matthew play down there ALL THE TIME. This picture is a bit blurry, but hopefully my picture taking skills will improve once I take my photography lessons starting next month! Tom bought me lessons about 3 years ago and I am finally going to take them. YEA! I need it bad.
Brinley and cousin, Haylie together have logged about a thousand hours in this closet I would say. You should see some of the homes they create! They are masterpieces :)

What a great idea that I might steal...except that you have great carpet for Legos, but ours is way too shaggy! I might have to come up with something else, hmmm. Any chance you want to get rid of some of those Harry Potter Legos?!;) Good times though!
As if! I'd never surrender my Ha Potter legos.
OOOOH! I love your floral picture at the top of your blog! I need to figure out how to do that...think I need lessons.
Don't you just love toys that keep hands and minds busy? We have only girl and boy legos...I think a pirate set. Not match for you!
Also loved your blog about the perm. I used to perm the front of my boys hair (although they would NEVER admit it) so that they could do something with their stick-straight bangs that always looked shaggy.
I love Lego closets! We have put all of our Legos in the space under our stairs landing. I am SO happy to not be stepping on the random Lego in the dark with bare feet at 2 a.m. when I have to get up to put the cat out - OUCH!
