American Idol concert LIVE!

On Monday night Morgan and Brinley joined me and my friends, Lynette, Lori, sister in law Maryanne and their kids for the American Idols concert in West Valley, Utah. We had a total BLAST!!!!!! It was a high energy concert with the loudest fans in the world.
Chickezie, pictured above opened up the show with three songs that I can't remember. He sounded really nice though.

Ramielle, my least favorite top ten artist sang some songs that I can't remember either.

The show really began when Michael Johns came out with the crowd going nuts hearing his name announced. He sang "We Are the Champions", which brought the house down, and got my heart pounding with excitement. He was a star for sure last night.

Kristie Lee Cook was good; she looked so pretty and dedicated one of her songs (I'm Proud To Be an American) to the military.

Carly sang a Heart song, "Crazy For You", and it was incredible. That girl can sing! Superstar!
Brooke White was so much better at this concert than on the t.v. show. She got to sing songs that suited her style and she sounded terrific. One was called "Yellow" and I loved it. She was a star for sure last night too.
Jason is over the rainbow with this song. So cute!

Lynette sent me a text and said, "all I need is to work on my tan and I am SO buying that dress!" Syesha sang two crummy songs and one good one, which I forgot what it was.

Syesha introduced David and the crowd went absolutely, stark raving, WILD! The sound of the audience was deafening. It was unbelievable. Our home boy brought the entire house to it's feet screaming so loud, the loudest I have EVER heard at a concert. I went to a Molly Hatchet concert in '82, and that was nothing. It was completely thrilling. I can't describe it. He began the set with "Angels". You almost couldn't hear it because of the screaming. What a blast.
People calmed down and let him sing "Apologize" but when he was done it was out of control hysteria. We couldn't stop cheering, this went on for I swear it was 2 minutes solid. It overwhelmed the kid as he had to wipe the tears from his eyes. He choked up. It was so sweet. He sang "Stand By Me" flawlessly and then finished up his set with a most gorgeous song Josh Groban does I think. It was incredible. He was the BOMB baby, as Randy Jackson would say. He owned that stage and probably set a new loudest crowd record.
How can a kid 17 years old be this good!?

David Cook was his usual rock star self. He sang "Hello", which is so cool and "Hero" he dedicated to his brother. It didn't do much for me. When he sang "Billy Jean" I loved that. He did his hit song, "Time of My Life" and thanked the audience for helping make it succesful. His songs were so loud that my ears were hurting. It was painful, but he is definitely a star too.
Cook said "I know you guys are cheering for that other guy" or something like that. It was cute.

This last number was a medley of songs that got the crowd freaking out again. It was so great. Click on the picture so you can get a larger view of all the Idols. They put on such a good show.

Here is part of the group we went with. After the concert we bought merch and posed with all our stuff. It was great fun. I got a blue shirt as well.

These girls love David! After the concert we went behind the arena with everyone and hung out until the Idols came out. One by one they came to greet the crowd and sign autographs. David Cook didn't come out, but the others did. My girls were thrilled beyond description to get autographs from the idols. Brinley's day was made when Archie said hi to her and looked at her in the eyes and said "you're welcome" when she thanked him for signing his picture.

How totally awesome, Julie! I am so jealous! Lynette's comment cracked me up. I love all the pictures and details that you gave in your post about each person. I wish they were coming to Austin! Maybe I should drive to Dallas or Houston. What an excellent season.

Well, since I live with you, there's not much more I can say about this beyond what I already have. So, instead, I leave you with a few parting words: Nitwit! Oddment! Blubber! Tweak!

lathspell, aka Madison, what in the heck are you talking about, referring to and/or saying?!

Come on, Mom! That's from Harry Potter: Dumbledore's idea of a 'few words' are those four. Remember, it's time for the beginning of the year feast and Dumbledore stands up to give a speech, but says that instead?

Hi Anna,
You can see the puppies anytime. They are the sweetest thing we've had in our home since Thomas was born, oh and of course when Adam was visiting! Just call us before to make sure we are here.
