August trip to the Dinosaur Museum

Thomas doesn't look too intimidated by this ferocious looking Utah raptor.
Thomas and Braedan liked pretending they were swimming away from the shark.
Wow, the boys looked like little dwarfs next to this Brachiosaurus.

Madison informed me that the photo behind the boys is Dimetrodon, which is not really a dinosaur, but an ancestor. (She provided me with the names of the above mentioned creatures since I have absolutely no clue. Her college dinosaurs class I guess comes in handy periodically.)
This is me and one of my very best friends, Becky Anderson. She lives in Virginia with her husband, Brent and their four kids. Her oldest daughter just started BYU this fall. I met Becky in 1991 when she was 7 months pregnant with her 2nd daughter and I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter. We had just moved to Nebraska and went to our first day at church. Becky was so friendly and came up to introduce herself to me, and we have been friends ever since. We don't see them often, but when we do, it's as if we never missed a beat, we just pick up where we left off before.

That looks like a fun trip. I'm glad to see you and Becky are keeping in touch with each other. Your hair looks cute long. And short.

You got most of it right, Mom, but Utahraptor is one word. And FYI, the word is 'archosaur.' It's the term for the dinosaur's ancestors. My dinosaur knowledge comes in handy quite often. I use it more than you would think. Mostly correcting people's mistakes, but it's fun just the same.
