Kolob Canyons

We have been told repeatedly by Tom's sister and mother to go to Kolob canyons.  They have sung it's praises like crazy and so we finally made it on our way to our destination.  It is the best kept secret for sure!  You don't even see it from the highway and it's only off 5 miles from interstate I-15.  You get off and travel into this breathtakingly beautiful canyon and see these magnificent formations.  We were told to go in the evening so you can get the sun set lighting up this beautiful place.  We loved it.  We would round the corner and go "ooh!" and then round the next corner and go "ahh!"  it just kept surprising us.

This below is actually in New Harmony at the cemetery there where some of Tom's ancestors are buried.  You can see Kolob Canyon from this point, but not the highway.  It was awesome.

We took a trip down south to stay in St. George and then Cedar City to see some plays and have a mini-vacation.  Since we thought Madison was going to China, we didn't take her.  So she won't be in the next few posts.  :(

It looks really pretty. I'm saving that for things to do on my next trip there. We loved Bryce Canyon and recommend that for your family too. It was amazing.

So beautiful. I am constantly amazed at the beauty that Utah has to offer! Next on your list should be "Hike to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion", or as I like to call it, "The climb of death". Now THAT is something you will remember the rest of your life! (That is IF your life extends beyond the hike! ;) )

p.s. Cute template!
