Virginia Trip

We had a fantastic trip in June to Virginia, where we visited historic sights such as, Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Berkelely Plantation, Washington D.C. and Mount Vernon. It was so exciting to learn about the origins of our great country and about the brave men and women who sacrificed everything to be here. The memorials in D.C. were so beautiful, especially the new World War II memorial. It is so grand and so serene. The Vietnam wall is so touching to see the thousands of names of those who died, including my uncle, Little Jay Jackson. Words cannot describe the feelings in your heart when you see these magnificent memorials dedicated to the people who gave everything for something better for us.
